SEO dashboards to help grow your organic traffic

SEO results take months to show, which makes it hard to prove the work is paying off. Exporting Search Console data into a spreadsheet every month doesn’t help.

Our SEO dashboards track rankings, clicks and organic traffic over time, so you can see the progress and show it to the people paying for it.

What Is a SEO Dashboard?

An SEO dashboard shows how your website performs in organic search, as well as other channels. It combines Search Console data, such as clicks, impressions and ranking position, with GA4 data on what those visitors do once they arrive. The result is an SEO reporting dashboard that shows how visible you are and whether that visibility brings in business.

We build our SEO dashboards in Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) and connect them to Google Search Console and GA4 using Google’s own free connectors. You’ll see which queries and pages drive traffic and how your rankings are trending over time. Running a local business? Our Google Business Profile dashboards cover your map listing too.

Why Use Our SEO Dashboards?

SEO is a long game, and it’s easy to lose sight of progress along the way. These dashboards keep the wins where you can see them.

No more exports

Search Console only lets you export 1,000 rows at a time, and never in the format you want. Connect it once and your report builds itself every month.

See which pages earn the traffic

Match every page to the queries it ranks for, the clicks it gets and what visitors do after they land. You'll know which content to update and which to leave alone.

What's Tracked in Our SEO Dashboards

Impressions

How often your pages appeared in Google search results. Rising impressions with flat clicks usually means you're ranking for more terms, just not high enough yet.

Organic clicks

The total number of clicks from the SERPs to your website. A clear measure of whether your pages are ranking for the right terms, and your metadata is enticing users to click.

Organic CTR

Clicks Ă· impressions = CTR. The percentage of searchers who click once they've seen your listing. A low CTR on a well-ranked page is often fixed with a better title tag and meta description.

Average position

Where your pages sit in search results on average. Follow the trend over weeks and months, to understand if your efforts are paying off.

Search queries

The actual terms being searched by users who land on your website. Review this regularly to ensure terms are relevant.

Top landing pages

The pages that bring in the most traffic. Understanding traffic is important, but it's vital to understand how they help drive sales or leads for your business.

Organic sessions

The total number of visits to your site coming from organic listings

Bounce rate

The percentage of organic visits that weren't engaged. A high bounce rate on a page ranking for the right terms can mean the content doesn't resonate with users.

Engagement sessions

A visit that meets any one of these three criteria: Lasts longer than 10 seconds, has a key event or has 2 or more screen or page views.

Engagement rate

Engaged Sessions Ă· Total Sessions Ă— 100. the percentage of engaged sessions on your website or mobile app. The opposite of the bounce rate. A very important metric to understand if users are actually engaging with your content.

And more in every template

FAQs

What is an SEO dashboard?
A single report for tracking how your site does in organic search. Most combine Search Console data on rankings and clicks with GA4 data on traffic and conversions.
What should an SEO reporting dashboard include?
Clicks, impressions, CTR and average position from Search Console, plus organic sessions, engagement and key events from GA4. Breakdowns by query, page, device and country help you work out what's driving any change.
Is Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) good for SEO dashboards?
It's one of the most popular tools for SEO reporting, because the Search Console and GA4 connectors are free. Building from scratch takes a while, though, so a template is the quicker option if you'd rather get straight to the data.
How do I add Search Console data to Data Studio?
Open your purchased template, save a copy, select the Search Console connector, pick your website property and approve access. Your Google account needs access to that property in Search Console for it to appear in the list.
Can I track keyword rankings?
Average position is tracked for every query Search Console reports, so you can see how rankings for your key terms change over time. Bear in mind it's an average across all searches, which isn't the same as a single position from a rank tracker.
How much historical data can I see?
Search Console keeps 16 months of data, so that's as far back as the Search Console charts can go. GA4 data goes back to when your property started collecting it.
Can I use an SEO dashboard for local SEO?

Yes, but you'll also want Google Business Profile data. Calls, direction requests and profile views show local performance that Search Console doesn't capture. Our Google Business Profile dashboards are built for exactly that.

How do I share an SEO dashboard with clients?
Invite clients by email, share a read-only link or set a PDF to arrive every month. They'll see the live report even if they've never been added to your Search Console property.
Is an SEO dashboard worth it for a small website?
Yes. Even a small site gets more out of Search Console when the data is laid out clearly. Ten minutes a month with a good dashboard is often enough to find a page worth improving.
