What is a PPC Dashboard?
A PPC dashboard measures how your paid media campaigns are performing. It shows what you spent, what that spend bought in clicks and conversions, and whether the return was worth it. Campaigns, ad groups, and keywords are visible in one view, saving you scrolling through the ad platform.
Our PPC dashboards are Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) templates built by marketers who’ve reported on paid campaigns. Cost, CPA, ROAS and impression share are front and centre, with campaign and keyword tables underneath for when you need the detail.

What's tracked in our PPC Dashboards
- Cost
Ad spend
The percentage of eligible impressions your ads actually received. If it's lower than you'd like, your ads aren't showing as often as they could — usually down to budget constraints or low ad rank. Track it to see where you stand against competitors and how your campaign changes affect visibility.
- Reach
Impressions
The total number of times your ad was shown. This is important in understanding the total reach of your ads. Fluctuations could be indicative of a wider problem with the setup.
- Engagement
Clicks
The total number of times someone clicked your ad — whether that's a headline, ad extension, or CTA on a display or video ad. Low clicks despite high impressions? Your ad copy or creative probably needs a rethink.
- Engagement
CTR
Clicks Ă· impressions = CTR. A high CTR means your messaging is landing. A low one means your ad copy or creative isn't compelling enough to stop the scroll. Compare across ad group themes to pinpoint where the biggest gains are.
- Cost
CPC
Total cost ÷ clicks = Avg. CPC — what you pay every time someone clicks. Costs vary by keyword competitiveness and quality score, so watch for volatility. A sudden spike could mean your ad quality has dropped, competitors are bidding harder, or you're paying for clicks that simply aren't converting.
- Results
Conversions
A conversion is any desired action after clicking your ad — a form submission, a purchase, a call. This is the metric that tells you which ads, keywords and ad groups are actually delivering results.
- Results
Conversion rate
Conversions ÷ clicks = CVR. This tells you how well your landing page turns clicks into customers. A low CVR usually points to a mismatch between your ad messaging and your landing page. A benchmark of 2–5% is a decent starting point, though it varies by industry.
- Results
Conversion value
The total value of the conversions your ads drove. It lets you judge campaigns by the money they made rather than the number of actions.
- Efficiency
ROAS
Revenue Ă· cost = ROAS. How much you make for every ÂŁ spent on ads. It's your clearest signal for profitability and the number to reach for when deciding which campaigns deserve more budget.
- Efficiency
CPA
Total ad spend ÷ total conversions = CPA — what you pay for a single lead or sale. Know your target CPA before you launch and you'll always have a clear benchmark to optimise against. It's how you separate the campaigns worth scaling from the ones draining budget.
- Efficiency
CPL
Total ad spend ÷ total leads = CPL. While CPA measures the cost of winning a customer, CPL measures the cost of capturing their interest. As long as your CPL sits below your profit per customer, you've got room to work with — especially if your lead-to-customer rate is strong.

FAQs
After buying, duplicate the template in Data Studio, choose Google Ads as the data source and pick your account. Sign in with a Google login that has access to that account and the dashboard populates automatically.
A report is usually a snapshot, like a monthly PDF. A dashboard is live, so you can change the date range, filter by campaign and drill into the detail whenever you like. Our templates do both, since any view can be exported as a PDF.
On a smaller budget, it matters even more that none of it is wasted. A simple dashboard shows which campaigns bring in customers, so you can cut the ones that don't.
