Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy a Plott dashboard template or use lookerstudiodashboards.com. Plott is run by Griffin Incorporated Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16236752). By placing an order or using the site, you agree to these terms. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Definitions
- “We”, “us”, “Plott”: Griffin Incorporated Ltd, trading as Plott.
- “You”: the person or business buying from us or using the site.
- “Template”: a Plott dashboard template for Google Data Studio, and any update to it.
- “Consumer”: someone buying mainly for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.
- “Business customer”: anyone buying for their work, their employer or their own business, including an agency buying for clients.
Permitted use
When you buy a template, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, permanent licence to:
- copy the template as many times as you need, into your own Google account or your clients’ accounts
- use it for as many clients as you like, with a separate copy for each, connected to any data source you’re authorised to use
- change the design, colours, logo, charts and metrics
- share reports built from it with your team and clients, including white-labelled reports sent by link, PDF or scheduled email
Restricted use
You must not:
- sell, sublicense or give away the template itself, or the link used to copy it, to anyone else
- offer the template, or a version that is substantially the same, as a template product of your own, whether free or paid
- remove our copyright notice from the template’s source files where one is included
Using our website
Use the site only for lawful purposes. Don’t do anything that could damage it, overload it or interfere with other people’s use of it. Blog comments mustn’t be unlawful, abusive or misleading, and we may remove any comment.
Accounts and access
You get access as soon as payment is confirmed. Your order confirmation email, and the downloads area of your account, contain the link to copy the template into your own Google account. If it hasn’t arrived within an hour, check your spam folder, then email us. Keep your account login secure, as you’re responsible for anything done with it.
Payments and billing
- Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). We’re not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- Each template is a one-time purchase, with no subscription or renewal.
- You can pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link. Payments are processed by Stripe and WooPayments.
- Our contract with you starts when we email your order confirmation. If we can’t accept an order, for example because of a pricing error, we’ll tell you and refund you in full.
Third-party services
Templates run on Google Data Studio and Google’s data connectors, which are owned and run by Google, not by us. To use them, you need a Google account and must follow Google’s terms. Google may change, limit or withdraw these services at any time. If a Google change stops a template working, we’ll try to release an update, but we can’t guarantee one. Plott isn’t made, endorsed or supported by Google.
Data handling and privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal data. We never have access to the data you connect to a template; it stays in your own Google account.
Email communications
We’ll email you about your order, including your confirmation, access link and invoice. These emails are part of the service and can’t be turned off. Marketing emails, including our newsletter, abandoned basket reminders and review requests, are optional, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Refund policy
Business customers: no refunds. Templates are delivered instantly, so business customers can’t cancel or get a refund once they’ve bought, including if they change their mind. The only exception is a faulty template we can’t fix (see below). If you buy for your work, your employer or your own business, you’re a business customer, even if you pay with a personal card.
Consumers: 14-day refund. If you’re buying as a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of your order and get a full refund for any reason. Email hello@lookerstudiodashboards.com with your order number, or send the form below. We’ll refund you to your original payment method within 14 days of hearing from you. When you cancel, your licence ends and you must delete any copies of the template.

To Griffin Incorporated Ltd (trading as Plott), hello@lookerstudiodashboards.com: I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following digital content: [template name], ordered on [date], order number [number]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]. Date: [today’s date].
Faulty templates. If a template doesn’t work as described, email us with your order number and what’s wrong. We may ask for screenshots or access to your copy to confirm the fault. Once confirmed, we’ll fix it or send a working version. If we can’t fix it within 14 days of your email, we’ll give you a full refund, whether you’re a business customer or a consumer. A refund is only given for a fault we’ve confirmed and can’t fix. Consumers also keep their rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
A template isn’t faulty because of a change Google makes to Data Studio or its connectors, because of how your own data is set up (for example GA4 events or conversions that aren’t configured), or because you’ve edited it.
Intellectual property
We own all copyright and other rights in our templates, designs, site content and logos. Buying a template gives you the licence above, not ownership of the design. You may view the site and share links to it, but not copy its content.
Liability
Consumers: we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We aren’t responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable. Our templates are for business use, so we aren’t liable to consumers for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
Business customers: our total liability for any claim connected with a template is limited to the price you paid for it. We aren’t liable for loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
Everyone: nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Accuracy of materials and updates
Screenshots and live demos show templates with sample data; your copy will show your own data. We keep product descriptions accurate, but small details may change as templates are improved.
“Free updates” means that while we continue to sell a template, we may release improved versions at no extra cost, which you can copy from your account. We aren’t obliged to release updates, and an update never changes copies you’ve already made.
Links
The site links to other websites, including Google and Trustpilot. They’re for your information only, and we aren’t responsible for their content.
Right to terminate
If you break the restricted use terms, we may end your licence by email. You must then stop using and delete any copies of the template. We may also suspend access to the site for anyone misusing it.
Severance
If a court decides that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms stay in force.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one on the site when you placed it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or, if they live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there. Business customers agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
